Anne Becker - Head of Communications

Anne is Senior Director of Marketing, Partnerships and Communications for 

Tribeca Film Institute (TFI), the nonprofit arm of the Tribeca Film Festival that 

provides grants and mentoring to filmmakers of all ages, She is responsible for 

overseeing TFI’s press and communications strategy; consumer and sales 

marketing; and digital, social, and video content. 

 

Prior to TFI, Anne spent three years at NBC, where she bridged the gap between 

content creators and the sales force monetizing their content. She worked on 

shows including The VoiceParenthood, and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

creating multi-platform strategic marketing campaigns for clients ranging from 

Sprint to Starbucks to Saturn. 

 

Anne spent the first six years of her career as a journalist—two reporting and 

writing about entertainment and real estate for the New York Post and four 

covering the business of television for Variety’s sister trade 

publication, Broadcasting & Cable. Her stories have also been published in 

NewsweekPsychology Today and The New York Times, among others.

 

Anne received her BA from Stanford University with a major in American Studies 

and minor in Spanish, and her MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business with a 

focus in Marketing and Entertainment.

 

Her other film work includes social and grassroots marketing for THE 

SEPTEMBER ISSUE and FOOD, INC. at A&E IndieFilms and Magnolia Pictures, 

respectively.
